This is an Acorn RISC OS software application that performs alphabetic text/textual analysis on Text/Impression TextStory/WordWise (WW+)/HTML Files in either English, French or German, and is available for free download.
!TxAnalyz2 is an updated version of !TxAnalyse. It uses compressed dictionaries to conserve the amount of disc space that it occupies. This is at the expense of using more memory when running.
After having downloaded and unzipped the !TxAnalyz2 Application, drag the application to a suitable directory on your hard disc. Double click on the !TxAnalyz2 icon to load it onto the icon bar.
Drag file/s to the bar icon to enter file names into the main 'SetUp' panel slot. Alternatively clicking on the bar icon brings up the main 'SetUp' panel and files can be dragged to this panel, or the file name can be typed manually into the slot at the top of this panel.
Select options from the 'SetUp' panel, in particular what type of files are being analysed, and then click on the 'Run' icon. After a while a Text file 'Analysis' is offered for saving in the same directory as !TxAnalyz2. This file gives an alphabetic list of all the words in the supplied files with a count, whether they cannot be found in an internal dictionary (In English, French or German), and which chapters the words occur in.
This application has now been updated to take account of WordWise Escape sequences that generate foreign characters. The latest version available here overcomes some slight bugs to do with this.
Please read the text file 'ReadMe1st' present with this application and the text file '!ReadMe' within this application for conditions of use.
Additional Help is available from the bar icon menu, or by using the Acorn facility !Help, present in the 'Apps' directory.
There was a major bug in this application under RISC OS 4. Choose the icons at the bottom of this page to download the latest versions.
